A woman has been fined after a knife incident in Isham where police red-dotted her.

Police were called after Tracey Fogah, of South Street in the A509 village, was seen with a silver kitchen knife at about 3.45pm on April 23 in The Sorrels.

The 45-year-old was red-dotted - where the Taser is not fired - and detained.

She was later charged with possession of a bladed article but denied the crime.

But at Northampton Magistrates' Court earlier this month magistrates found her guilty.

Fogah was fined £300 and was ordered to pay costs of £500 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.

The knife will also be forfeited and destroyed.
