Woman, 31, arrested for shoplifting from a store in Northampton town centre
Officers called after reports of shoplifting
A 31-year-old woman was arrested at around 11.20am today (November 12) after she was spotted shoplifting perfume from the store, ‘Savers’ on Gold Street in Northampton town centre.
Officers were deployed to the store and, with use of CCTV, were able to successfully detain the suspect with the stolen goods still in her possession.
The stolen goods were promptly returned to the store and the woman was arrested on suspicion of theft.
The offender is currently in custody.
