Wellingborough man, 57, admits stealing £1,900 from Northampton General Hospital patient

A 57-year-old from Wellingborough has been ordered to pay back more than £900 stolen from a hospital patient.

Alexander Thomas McGinty, of Wilkie Road admitted taking money to the value of £1,945.12 at Northampton General Hospital.

Northampton Magistrates Court heard that £1,000 of the money had already been paid back.

McGinty was discharged conditionally for 12 months but ordered to pay compensation of £945 plus £107 in costs and a surcharge to fund victim services.
