Was second violent attack in Corby carried out by Ribblesdale sex attacker?

Police are investigating whether the same suspect is responsible for two assaults in Corby that happened just a street apart

Police officers have issued an appeal for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Forest Gate Road, Corby on Tuesday (January 28) at about 9.30pm, a short distance from where a woman was attacked earlier this month.

In this latest atttack, a woman was assaulted by a man who grabbed her from behind and pushed her to the floor before she managed to get away.

The suspect is described as white, aged 35-40, about 5ft 8in and wearing a dark hoodie and dark trousers.

Detective Inspector Dave Harley, said: “We are keeping an open mind as to the motive behind this assault and whether this incident is connected to a sexual assault in Ribblesdale Avenue on Sunday, January 19.

"I would ask that people remain vigilant and contact us if they see anything or anyone suspicious in the area.”
