Victim's lucky escape after knife attack by gang near Northampton Jaguar dealers

Police are investigating a random knife attack by a gang of six or seven men close to a Northampton Jaguar dealership on Wednesday.

Officers say the victim, a man in his early 20s, was walking along Kettering Road at around 5.30pm when he was approached by the gang.

One of them produced a knife and lunged at the victim but only caused damage to his coat, before fleeing.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "The incident happened opposite the Guy Salmon Jaguar garage between 5.20pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday (December 2).

"They group was described as six or seven black men all aged around 20. They all wore tracksuits, coats, gloves and face masks."

Detectives would like to hear from to anyone who may have seen this incident or could have any information regarding it.
