Unpaid work for thug who attacked three men in Kettering hotel's bar

A thug who left a man with a bloody nose and attacked two others at a Kettering hotel has been sentenced to unpaid work.

Ashley Fiume was arrested after the incident at the four-star Kettering Park Hotel in Kettering Parkway on November 30, 2019.

This week he appeared before magistrates in Northampton after admitting three assaults, one of which was found to be racially aggravated.

The 36-year-old, of Brawn Drive in Raunds, was in the downstairs bar at about 10pm when he attacked the men.

He punched two of them in the face and grabbed the other around the neck whilst making racist comments towards him, police said.

One of the victims he punched was left with a bloody nose.

Fiume was told by magistrates that he would have to complete 120 hours of unpaid work as part of his punishment of a community order.

He must pay compensation totalling £225 with one victim receiving £100, one receiving £75 and a third receiving £50.

Fiume was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £620 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £90.
