Two men trick blind victim into letting them inside his Northampton home so they could steal from him

Two men burgled a home in Fieldmill Road, Little Billing after they tricked the occupant, registered blind, into believing that their grandson’s football had been kicked into his back garden.

The incident happened between 5pm and 6.45pm on Thursday December 17. The offenders, once inside the house, stole a bag that contained bank cards and cash.

One of the suspects is described as being in his early 60s with a slim build, grey hair and a local accent. He was wearing a light-blue mask.

The other suspect is described as being in his early 40s with a medium build, about six foot and three inches with a mild Irish accent and short, black hair. He was wearing a black fleece, black trousers, black shoes and a black face mask.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “Anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number: 20000666467 or ring Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555111.”
