Two arrested after girl stamped on in horrific Corby attack

Police investigating an incident which saw a girl brutally assaulted in Corby have urged the public not to share footage of the attack.

The victim, aged 16, was punched, kicked and stamped on in the street in a sustained attack in Cottingham Road at about 4pm on Saturday (July 18).

Fortunately she suffered no lasting injuries, a police spokesman said.

A 15-year-old girl and an 18-year-old woman have since been arrested on suspicion of assault.

They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Videos and still images showing the horrific attack were posted on social media over the weekend and a police spokesman urged people not to share them.
