Two arrested after drugs raid in Wellingborough

A man and a woman have been arrested following a drugs raid in Wellingborough today (Thursday).

Police executed a warrant at a property in Paling Close this morning.

A 22-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs, and a number of items were seized.

Officers were granted a warrant to carry out the raid as a result of community intelligence.

Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant Scott Desrochers said: “Community intelligence is a vital aspect of what we do and I would encourage anyone with any information about suspicious activity in their local area to get in touch with us so we can build a picture of what crime is taking place and tackle it effectively.”
