A man accused of attempted murder of another man in the incident that left Levi Davis dead will go on trial in June.

Jake Swords, 27,of Tennyson Road, Rushden, will go on trial on June 8 at Northampton Crown Court.

Swords appeared from HMP Peterborough via video link in Northampton Crown Court today (Wednesday) for a brief hearing.

He is accused of attacking Lucas Barnard, 27, in Rushden on Saturday, December 7, 2019, during the same incident where Levi Davis, 25, was fatally stabbed.

Swords has been charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, causing serious injury by driving a Vauxhall van dangerously and to possession of a knife.

He pleaded not guilty to all four counts on January 16.

Levi Davis, a mother of two, was tragically stabbed during the incident near St George's Way off Wellingborough Road on December 7, 2019.

No one has been charged with her murder. A 27-year-old man who was initially arrested on suspicion of murder was later released with no further action.
