Three arrested and victim in hospital after Northampton town centre stabbing

A man is in hospital after being stabbed in Northampton town centre last night (May 13).

Police were called to Wellington Street at around 8.12pm yesterday after receiving reports that a man had been seriously injured.

Following the incident, three men were arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm.

The men aged 46, 33 and 37 remain in police custody this morning (May 14).

The victim remains in hospital today in a stable condition.

The underpass under Lower Mounts and areas around the courts remain cordoned off today.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said: "Areas in the vicinity of the incident remain under police examination this morning.

"Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 21000263919."
