Officers were called after a fight between four people left the man with serious injuries and the area was taped off.

A 48-year-old Corby man has now been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been released on police bail.

At the weekend 37-year-old Andros Baker Allen, of Newark Drive in Corby, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article.

He appeared before magistrates in Northampton on Monday and was remanded in custody.

A 56-year-old Kettering man also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender earlier this week remains on bail.

Anyone with information about the attack should call police on 101.
