Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves struck three times in one night in Kettering.

The incidents occurred between 10.15pm on Thursday (July 2) and 4.30am on Friday (July 3).

Two took place in Wallis Road and one in Clifton Grove, with police saying the offenders are believed to have been checking doors and sheds to find out if they were unlocked.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "Jewellery, wine and a small amount of cash were stolen from one of the homes, with the wine and jewellery being found afterwards in a neighbour's garden and further down the road drills were stolen from a shed and a fence was damaged.

"In Clifton Grove, offender/s took a small quantity of cash and car keys (but not the car) were stolen between 1am and 3.50am having gained access through the front door."

Anyone in the area who witnessed anything or saw any suspicious activity is asked to contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 or they can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 20000338194.

Officers are also urging people to make sure their homes and sheds are kept locked.
