Thief smashes car window in Rothwell and steals power tools

A thief stole power tools from a car in Rothwell after smashing a window.

The incident happened in Rock Hill on Monday, September 7 between 10pm and 10.15pm.

A man in a white Vauxhall Corsa pulled up next to the victim's silver Mitsubishi Shogun and smashed the offside driver's window.

The thief then stole power tools including an ECHO strimmer in orange and black, an ECHO long reach hedge trimmer in orange and black, a STIHL chainsaw in orange and white, and a STIHL leaf blower in orange and white.

Northamptonshire Police say the suspect is described as white, about 5ft 9in, medium build and was wearing beige trousers and a dark long-sleeved top.

Any witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
