Knife-point robbers, drug dealers and a man who crashed his car into someone’s house.
Here are some of the criminals imprisoned by our courts during January.
This list is not exhaustive but a compilation of some of the most serious examples of criminality at Northampton Magistrates’ Court and Northampton Crown Court last month.
1. Ricky Long
Career criminal Ricky Long, 34, has so many theft convictions hes banned from shops across Corby and Kettering. Homeless Long is back behind bars after admitting two thefts at Kettering Tesco and breaching his court order.
2. Patrick Jacob
Jacob, 18, of Centre Parade, Kettering, who has 10 GCSEs, was jailed for 28 months for intending to supply drugs after being caught with a knife and 100 bags of heroin and crack near Cleveland Avenue.
3. Joanne Craft
Craft, 37, of Blenheim Walk, Corby, was jailed for 30 months after admitting robbing 820 from a woman outside McColls in Greenhill Rise and offences including possession of a knife, pepper spray, cannabis and driving with no insurance.
4. Rick Macrae
Macrae, 39, formerly of Manor Road, Rothwell, was jailed for nine months after admitting 2 counts of theft and fraud including the theft of a wallet after he smashed the window of the car of a solicitor. He was said to have an extensive list of previous crimes.
