Two teenage boys were assaulted in Kettering's Wicksteed Park on Wednesday, June 24.

The two 14-year-old boys were sat with friends in Wicksteed when they were approached by an older teenage boy at about 8.40pm.

He assaulted both boys and put one in a headlock until he fell unconscious.

The incident happened in a seating area down the hill from the train station in the park and Northamptonshire Police would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area from 8.30pm on Wednesday, June 24.

The assaulter was black, aged 17, approximately 5ft 8in tall and medium build. He was wearing a black tracksuit, black trainers and had a black or blue man bag.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
