The guard, a man in his 40s, challenged the two teenage boys while on patrol and asked them to leave.

But the man was punched in the face and hit around the head and fell to the ground.

The boys continued to assault him and the man suffered facial injuries.

A police spokesman said the offenders were aged 15 to 17-years-old and made off on bikes towards Paradise Lane.
