A teenager caught with quantities of class A drugs three times in just four months has been told he will be jailed.

Cameron Owen, 19, admitted five charges of possession with intent to supply at Northampton Crown Court this morning (Wednesday) after the offences, which took place in Rushden and Wellingborough.

Owen, who is currently being held on remand at HMP Peterborough and appeared via videolink, was caught with cocaine in January 2018.

Two months later in March, despite being on bail, he was then caught with cocaine and heroin.

And then in May he was again caught with cocaine and heroin.

Earlier this month at Cambridge Crown Court Owen also admitted a further charge of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

Owen's sentencing was adjourned to a later date for a pre-sentence report to be carried out.

But judge David Herbert warned Owen the adjournment did not mean he would be spared from prison.

He said: "It will be [a prison sentence]. It's just a question of how long."

Two further charges of possession of criminal property, which Owen denied, will not be proceeded with because prosecutor Andy Peet said it was "not in the public interest".
