Police are appealing for witnesses after a 17-year-old boy was set upon by a group with weapons in High Street, Desborough.

The assault took place between 8.45pm and 9.30pm on Saturday, April 11, as the teenager walked with his two friends and girlfriends in High Street.

A group of males pulled up in a car and attacked him with weapons before the three males got back in the car and drove off.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "We do not have a description of the offenders however they are believed to have worn dark clothing and face masks.

"The incident took place on High Street near to the junction with Dunkirk Avenue, and officers would like to hear from anyone who may have caught the assault on their dash cam footage."

Witnesses or anyone with information which could assist with the investigation are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 21000198632.
