Detectives have arrested a teenager following an appeal for information over a suspicious incident on the outskirts of Northampton last month.

Officers released CCTV images of a white male, about 6ft tall, who they believed threatened the occupant of a house with violence after knocking on a door in Silverwell Close, Moulton, on Friday (November 27).

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said today (Friday): "A 19-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, December 1 in connection with the incident. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

"The investigation into the incident, which happened between 3.30pm and 4pm, is ongoing."

Officers are still appealing for anyone with Ring doorbell or dash cam footage in the area to review it and make contact if they notice anything suspicious by calling 101, quoting Operation Detail or crime number 20000628877, or by phoning Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
