A young woman who was walking along Oakley Road has been threatened with sexual violence by a 'muscular' man.

The incident took place in Oakley Road at the roundabout junction of Oldland Road and Sower Leys yesterday morning (Tuesday, March 30).

Between 9.35am and 9.45am, a man blocked the path of the 18-year-old, threatened her with sexual violence and then followed her along the road.

A spokesman for Northants Police said; "Witnesses are being sought after an incident of sexual harassment in Oakley Road, Corby.

"The incident happened at the junction with Oldland Road/Sower Leys Road on Tuesday, March 30, between 9.35am and 9.45am, when an 18-year-old woman was walking along the path and a man blocked her path.

"He then proceeded to threaten sexual violence before following her into Oakley Vale.

"The suspect is described as a white male, around 6ft and of muscular build. He had dark-coloured hair and was wearing a black facemask, a black beanie hat, a black puffa jacket, black sweatpants and black trainers. He had an English accent and kept his hands in his pockets throughout."
