Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old girl was robbed in Lorne Road, Northampton between 6.45pm and 7.45pm on Friday November 6.

The incident took place when the girl and the male offender went to eat food - purchased from the ‘Your Favourites’ fried chicken takeaway - under a nearby tree.

The man threatened the girl with a knife and demanded she hand over cash, which she did. He then made off in the direction of Barrack Road.

The offender is described as white, about five foot and six inches tall, of a stocky build and with short dark hair. He was wearing a black coat, which had white stripes down the sleeves, back tracksuit-type bottoms and black shoes.
