Tattooed thug attacks man with hammer in Kettering

A thug with tribal tattoos is being hunted by police after he hit a man with a hammer in Kettering.

The victim was left with facial swelling and a nosebleed after the shocking incident in Naseby Road.

He was in the green area at about 12.35pm on Thursday (July 23) when another man got out of a silver Toyota Yaris and hit him in the face with the weapon.

A police spokesman said: "The suspect is described as a white man, about 6ft 4in, of muscular build, with a bald head and a scruffy ginger beard.

"He was wearing a T-shirt and jeans and had tribal tattoos on both arms."

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
