Police paid a visit to a traveller site in Wellingborough to seize a quad bike and ended up with a far larger cargo.

Officers had been tasked to go to the site off the Wilby Way roundabout near Great Doddington in Wellingborough to seize a quad bike that they believed had been involved in a number of incidents of anti-social behaviour.

When they arrived along with police dogs yesterday evening (Wednesday, April 22), a check on one of the caravans discovered it had been stolen two years ago in the Thames Valley.

It was taken away along with the quad bike.

Concerns for the welfare of a horse were also passed on to the RSPCA.
