Stolen car on false plates tracked down by police near Thrapston

Two men have been arrested after police tracked down a stolen car on false plates near Thrapston.

The stolen vehicle - a Nissan Qashqai - was swiftly identified by an Automatic Number Plate Recognition camera at around 10.30am yesterday (April 20).

Police were deployed to sting the vehicle, which went off road and came to a stop.

Two men - aged 24 and 22 - were subsequently arrested in connection with the stolen vehicle on false plates.
