Stanton Cross pervert breached order designed to protect children
A man convicted of being part of a £1m drugs gang, as well as sexual offences against a child, moved to a new house in Northamptonshire on release from prison – but has now been before the courts again.
Matthew Creese, formerly of Gosberton Risegate, Lincolnshire, was jailed back in 2020 for being part of a £1m cocaine gang. At the same time he was prosecuted for two sexual assault on a child under 13.
He was given ten years and eight months in prison by a Lincoln Crown Court judge, and made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) for ten years. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for a decade.
But five years later he was out of prison and living in Northamptonshire – in a brand new home in Sickle Drive, Stanton Cross, Wellingborough.

Police visited him on April 21 this year and discovered that he had failed to inform his offender manager of an internet-enabled mobile phone, in breach of his SHPO. People convicted of crimes against children are almost always compelled to declare any internet devices they use and allow them to be checked by specially-trained police officers at any time.
They also found that he had been using a Post Office credit card that he had not declared to officers, in breach of the requirements of the sex offenders’ register (SOR).
He was had cocaine on him.
Creese was before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on June 18 to plead guilty to all a breach of his SHPO, a breach the requirements of the SOR and possession of a class-A drug.
He was given 25 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a £154 surcharge.
