A man was stabbed a number of times in the arm, back and leg on the Queensway estate in Wellingborough

Police are investigating the incident, which took place in Burns Road between 9.20pm and 9.40pm on Friday (March 12).

He was approached by an unknown male who then stabbed him before running off.

The victim was left with injuries which were not life-threatening and required stitches in hospital.

A police spokesman said: "The suspect is described as a small man wearing a dark grey jacket.

"Anyone who saw the incident, or has information about it, is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111."
