A Corby shoplifter who stole chocolates, alcohol, meat and cosmetics has been fined by magistrates.

Joel Crockford, of Staffa Walk, admitted five separate theft offences when he appeared at Northampton Magistrates Court.

The 22-year old pleaded guilty to stealing Lynx products worth £107 from Superdrug in Kettering and chocolates worth £161 from Co-Op in Grange Place, Kettering. Both offences took place in early March.

He also admitted taking whiskey to an unknown value from Kettering Sainsbury’s in late March.

Then in June, Crockford was at it again, taking food worth £75 from Tesco Express in Rothwell and food worth £50.60 from Tesco Express in London Road, Kettering.

He was ordered to pay £711.10 in fines and compensation at a rate of £40 per month.
