A second man has been charged in connection with an incident in Rushden where Levi Davis was fatally stabbed.

Anthony Spring, 30, appeared in Northampton Magistrates' Court this morning (Thursday) via video link from HMP Peterborough.

He is charged with assisting Jake Swords, who has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder of Lucas Barnard on Saturday, December 7, 2019, the same night Levi Davis was tragically killed.

Spring is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and is said to have had a knife with him that night.

He will next appear in Northampton Crown Court in April.

Spring has been remanded in custody.

Swords has also been charged with grievous bodily harm, causing serious injury by driving a Vauxhall van dangerously and to possession of a knife. He pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Levi Davis, a 25-year-old mother of two, was killed near St George's Way, off Wellingborough Road in Rushden on Saturday, December 7. No one has been charged with her death.
