A man from Rushden will sentenced in March after admitting four child sex offences.

Scott Loakes appeared at Northampton Crown Court this afternoon (Monday) over the offences, which took place last year and involved a girl under the age of 16.

In a brief hearing Loakes, of Hove Road, admitted two charges of sexual activity with a child, one of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and one of sexual communication with a child.

The 27-year-old was told he would be sentenced on March 1 once a probation team has completed a pre-sentence report.

Her Honour Judge Adrienne Lucking QC told Loakes he would be given conditional bail until then.

Loakes will be subject to sex offender notification requirements from today.
