Rothwell house taped off after woman's unexplained death

A house in Rothwell has been taped off by police today (Thursday) after an unexplained death.

Scenes of crime officers are at the terraced house in Crispin Street after police were called this afternoon.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: “Police officers were called to reports of the sudden death of a woman at an address in Crispin Street, Rothwell, at about 1.20pm today.

“At the present time, her death is being treated as unexplained while enquiries are progressed.”

Eyewitnesses said an ambulance turned up shortly after police before leaving the scene just afterwards.

A cordon is in place and police are expected to be there into the night.
