Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £1,000 for information following two firearms incidents in the town.

Northants Police has confirmed that the independent charity is offering a reward of up to £1,000 for any information that is passed through them and leads to an arrest and charge in relation to the shooting incidents in Wellingborough.

The first happened at about 10.30pm on Thursday, September 17, at an address in Shelley Road on the Queensway estate.

The second incident happened at an address in Gannett Lane in the nearby Hemmingwell estate shortly before 1am on Saturday, September 19, following reports of a number of gunshots being heard.

Subsequent searches confirmed there had been gunshot damage to the front door of the property.

Nobody was injured in either of the incidents, and an investigation has so far led to the arrests of three people.

Detectives are now appealing for help from the community and anyone with any information about these incidents or firearms or gang activity in the area is encouraged to contact the police.

More than 100 warrants have been executed across Northamptonshire since the beginning of July with multiple arrests and charges.

Officers say this enforcement activity will not cease and they remain absolutely committed to pursuing the people responsible for crime in your area.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "We do not and will never tolerate violence in this county. Please help us to help you by telling us what you know.
