Failing to meet the register's requirements is a crime in itself, punishable by prison.
On November 5 last year McAlwane, of Eden Street, failed to comply with the requirements of the register because he did not notify police of his details every 12 months.
Earlier this month he was hauled in front of magistrates again in Northampton where he admitted failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
