£100,000 worth of machinery stolen from house in Ecton

Heavy machinery worth £100,000 was stolen during a burglary at a house in Ecton.

Two Ifor Williams trailers were among the items taken from a property in Sywell Lane, Ecton, between 12.30am and 1.15am on Saturday (May 23).

A spokesman for Northants Police said several people were seen on CCTV breaking in and stealing the items worth approximately £100,000, which have since been recovered.

The spokesman added: "A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft in connection with this and has been released on bail pending further enquiries."

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call police on 101.
