A house has been taped-off in Corby after an incident this morning (Tuesday, April 14).

An ambulance was seen arriving at the house at about 11.30am followed by police. Officers have been seen searching in hedges around the house.

People living nearby said there had been a string of incidents going back to last June at the house.

One said that they had reported to the police major concerns about a person staying there who had been seen injured previously and a string of different men coming and going from the house.

”It’s awful thinking about what might be going on,” he said.

Another neighbour said: “The ambulance arrived at 11.30 and there’s been a police presence there ever since.

”I hope the woman is ok.”

A police spokeswoman said: “This was called into us at 11.30am this morning as a report of an assault in Stephenson Way, Corby.

”A woman in her 30s has been taken to hospital with injuries. A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a Section 18 - wounding with intent.”
