A team of officers from CID are investigating the horrific attack, which took place on August 23, and have received 'a couple' of calls from members of the public.

The victim, a woman in her 30s, was in Windmill Avenue in the early hours of Sunday when she was attacked by two predators.

She thought she was being followed and hid in a garden but at about 1am was dragged into the alleyway linking Windmill Avenue and Ise Road, where the men sexually assaulted her.

The woman was supported by specially trained officers and agencies in the days after the incident.

A forensics team was at the scene for the majority of the day after the attack, with officers in masks and white overalls taking away samples in evidence bags after searching the area.

Sunny Singh, from the M&B Local shop opposite the alleyway, said he was "very shocked" when he heard what had happened.

He added: "It's not what you'd expect to happen around here."

One woman who lives nearby, who did not want to be named, said: "It's very scary that this could happen in such a residential area."

A police spokesman described the suspects as male with both being black or mixed race.

They said both were about 5ft 9in tall and of a stocky build and wearing all dark clothing.

One had black trainers and one had black and white trainers, the spokesman added.

Anyone who saw anyone matching the descriptions provided by police in the area, or who has any information, should call police on 101.
