Police seize machete in Rothwell raid

Kettering's plain clothes police team raided an address in Rothwell on Saturday (December 21) and seized a vehicle, drugs and weapons.

In a tweet, the team said: "Merry Christmas all. We considered the festive chimney option but thought better of it and decided to take on the door.

"A vehicle, drugs and weapons seized by the team."

A police spokesman said the raid happened in Cordwainer Court, Rothwell, on Saturday, December 21 at around 3pm.

The weapons seized included a machete and a 22-year-old was given a cannabis warning.
