It came shortly after receiving reports of another person blocking Wellingborough Road.

Both protesters were removed from the road and earlier this afternoon a force spokesman said officers remain in the local area.

The spokesman said: “Officers were deployed and arrived at the scene promptly, and removed them from the highway

“There was some minor disruption before officers arrived and we’d like to thank the public for their patience. Both roads are now running as usual.”
