Police linking Burton Latimer burglaries

Detectives say they are linking two burglaries which took place in Burton Latimer yesterday (Tuesday).

Officers are investigating a series of incidents in the town, which happened between 1am and 8am.

This morning a police spokesman said two linked cases took place in Sandpiper Close and Queensway.

In Sandpiper Close, a burglar entered a home through the conservatory and then stole bank cards and a bicycle.

And in Queensway, the offender entered through a front door and stole watches and handbags.

A police spokesman said: "We are asking for residents to check CCTV or doorbell footage to see if they have captured anything suspicious."
