Police investigating allegation man 'threatened with firearm' in Kettering
Detectives are appealing for information
Police were called to a Kettering town centre street yesterday (Tuesday) after an allegation that a man had a firearm.
Officers were deployed to Montagu Street at about 1pm, near the car wash by the Eskdaill Street/Victoria Street junction, after receiving a call to say a man had been threatened with the weapon.
But nobody was found with a weapon at the scene and now police are appealing for information as enquiries continue.
A police spokesman urged anyone with information to contact them on 101.
