Police hunting 'would-be burglar with scar' who tried to enter Kettering house

A man with a scar on his face is wanted by police after he attempted to burgle a house in Kettering.

Officers are appealing for information after the incident in Duke Street, which took place at about 4am on Wednesday, February 3.

The would-be burglar walked up to the address and looked through the kitchen window before attempting to open the front door. No access was gained.

A police spokesman said: "The offender is described as a white male, about 5ft 8in, with dark shaven hair and a scar on the right side of his face.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between the stated times."
