Police detective to appear at court over Kettering firearm incident

He will face magistrates tomorrow

A police detective will appear at court tomorrow (Friday) charged with a firearms offence after an incident in Kettering.

Detective Constable Michael Chang, a Cambridgeshire officer who is based at Huntingdon Police Station, will face magistrates in Northampton charged with possession of a firearm.

The 38-year-old, of Burton Latimer, was summoned in June after an incident at Kettering's Tesco petrol station in Carina Road on April 15.

Cambridgeshire Police said he remains on restricted duties.
