Police called to sudden death in Corby

Police were called following the sudden death of a man in Corby yesterday (Tuesday).

Officers attended a house in Pages Walk yesterday afternoon after reports that a man in his 40s had died.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "Police officers were called to an address in Pages Walk, Corby, yesterday at about 5.20pm, following reports of the sudden death of a man in his 40s.

“Detectives are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances surrounding this man’s death and await the results of a post-mortem which is due to take place later today.”

Police are still at the scene, with Pages Walk cordoned off.

A woman who lives nearby told the Northants Telegraph: "I saw someone lying on the street outside the house.

"It's a house that's been turned from a three-bed home to a six-bed home."

She said she saw six police cars in Pages Walk, which she described as 'a quiet street,' yesterday.
