Police appeal after woman assaulted in Rushden town centre
A cordon was put in place in College Street, Rushden, this morning after a woman was assaulted and knocked unconscious.
Police confirmed that the woman was taken to hospital, and are asking for witnesses who may have seen the incident take place this morning to come forward.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: “This relates to an assault which happened in College Street, Rushden, between 5am and 5.30am this morning (Monday, July 6).
“She was taken to hospital but thankfully is not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.”
