People living in and around Desborough are being warned to be extra-vigilant after a flurry of scam phone calls.

The caller claims to be representing the ‘Desborough and Rothwell emergency care group’ – which does not exist.

They offer to set up a home visit to install an emergency care button for £1.

People could be duped into thinking the caller is genuine as the area’s GP surgeries are run by ‘Rothwell and Desborough Healthcare Group’.

And a community group called ‘Desborough Community Emergency Deliveries’ is supporting local people at the moment.
