Parking police hit Kettering school-run blackspots

Six tickets were issued to dodgy drivers around Kettering schools this morning

Police officers were out and about targeting poor driving and parking at school-run problem areas first thing this morning.

They issued fixed penalty notices to people who had parked in dangerous places including one who stopped on zig zag lines.

Officers from Kettering Neighbourhood Policing Team also gave words of advice around prevention and education to seven motorists this morning in Highfield Road close to Greenfields Primary School.

Tickets were issued to drivers outside Hawthorn Community Primary

Tickets were issued to five drivers in the Headlands and Hawthorn Rd area around two schools - St Peter's School and Hawthorn Primary School.

One ticket was issued in Grafton Street close to St Andrew's CE Primary.

Officers acted after complaints from the schools and from local residents
St Andrew's CE was one of the schools highlighted as having parking issues
