Northamptonshire Police carried out two drug raids in Longmead Court, Blackthorn this morning (21 October) after obtaining two warrants following a tip-off from a member of the public.

Officers, after conducting a search of the premises, seized Class A and B drugs - suspected to be cocaine and cannabis - and weapons were found.

An 18-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drug dealing. He remains in police custody at this time.

A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Police said: “We were able to secure these warrants thanks to community intelligence so we would encourage people to continue passing information to us.”
