Northants police officer in court accused of stalking a woman while he was on duty

A Northamptonshire Police constable is due before magistrates today charged with stalking.

Harrison William Joseph Strutt, of Harmston in Lincolnshire, is set to appear at Leicestershire Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, March 20) accused of stalking a Wellingborough woman between two days in August last year.

Strutt, 26, is alleged to have accessed her Instagram account and driven past a house connected to her while on duty.

Criminal cases involving police officers are routinely transferred to other court jurisdictions to avoid any conflict of interest.

Strutt is currently not working at Northamptonshire Police pending the outcome of his court case.
