PD Olly’s actions have been described as “lifesaving” after he located a missing man in a field in Glapthorn, Peterborough at about 11.30pm on Friday November 20.

A man was seen acting strangely on farmland and PD Olly was able to track him through several fields before eventually finding him wearing only shorts, cold and in need of medical attention.

The man has since been returned to his home safely.

Northants Police Dog Section tweeted: “Some more lifesaving work by our dogs overnight. PD Olly tracked a male seen acting strangely on farmland through several fields and located him wearing only shorts, very cold and in need of medical attention. Well done Olly!”
