Northamptonshire man released without charge after police conclude woman was not murdered

Detectives investigating the death of a woman at an address in Agnes Road, Semilong, Northampton, on Monday evening are no longer treating it as suspicious.

A spokeswoman said a forensic post mortem examination took place at Leicester Royal Infirmary yesterday and a file is now being prepared for the coroner.

A 41-year-old man from Northampton arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.

More details of the cause of death will be released if, as expected, an inquest is held.
